As the equipment industry's most experienced service technicians retire, the people stepping in behind them are inheriting more complex machines and less of the hard-won knowledge needed to fix them. On Thursday, June 25 at 1 p.m. EDT, Mechro and McElroy Manufacturing will host a free, online fireside chat, "Smarter Equipment Needs Smarter Service," on how manufacturers can close that gap.
Mechro CEO Kastle Jones will be joined by Chris Zenthoefer, McElroy's vice president of product strategy, for a conversation about how AI can help manufacturers train technicians faster, stop expert knowledge from walking out the door, and keep service strong as machines get more advanced.
"Construction demand is growing, machines are getting more complex, and there aren't enough expert technicians who know how to fix them," said Jones. "We're hosting Chris to talk through how manufacturers can scale service in this constrained labor market."
“We build the most reliable and technically advanced equipment that is easy to run in the field,” said Zenthoefer. “We’re exploring how AI can help us retain the knowledge from our existing technicians and scale it for the future”
The session is free and open to leaders across equipment manufacturing, including service, product, and engineering teams. Anyone can register for the virtual event at luma.com/mechro-mcelroy.
